Créateur des entreprises Extrapôle puis Antipode, Musher passionné depuis 40 ans, il a fait évoluer la pratique de notre sport au fil du temps en sortant notamment le premier traineau à souplesse latérale "l'extral" en 1989, ce traineau est devenu une référence et a été depuis repris et copier par tous.
Musher pro depuis de longues années il a la culture de la glisse et à toujours à la pointe de l'innovation pour faire avancer le mushing vers plus de technologie.

Au sein d'Antipode Daniel a été épaulé par Muriel, qui a rejoint le navire en 1996, musheuse un certain temps puis trop occupée  par l'entreprise.

Daniel continue d'accompagner l'équipe Antipode Sleds dans le cadre d'une transmission de savoir-faire jusqu'à fin 2026. Il restera par la suite membre honoraire de notre team conception aussi longtemps qu'il le voudra...

Founder of the companies Extrapôle and later Antipode, and a passionate musher for 40 years, he has helped shape the development of our sport over the years, notably by launching the first laterally flexible sled, the ‘Extral’, in 1989; this sled has become a benchmark and has since been adopted and copied by everyone.
A professional musher for many years, he has a deep understanding of sledding and is always at the forefront of innovation, driving mushing towards greater technological advancement.
At Antipode, Daniel has been supported by Muriel, who joined the company in 1996; she was a musher for a time but became too busy with the business.
Daniel will continue to support the Antipode Sleds team as part of a handover of expertise until the end of 2026. He will then remain an honorary member of our design team as long as he want...

Nicolas et Marie-Pierre ont commencé à pratiquer le traineau en 2019, depuis leur passion pour les chiens et ce sport n’ont cessé d’être leur priorité. Aujourd’hui ils partagent leur quotidien avec leurs six Scandinavian Hound.

Nicolas, technicien et ingénieur touche à tout, a fait une partie de sa carrière dans différents secteur de l’industrie. Adepte du « Do It Yourself », il a entre autres, commencé à fabriquer ses planches à voile à 15 ans, puis des surfs, des meubles, guitares, cerfs-volants, haut-parleurs, rénover des maisons… 
Nicolas a ensuite changé de métier et accompagné Marie-Pierre (styliste modéliste costumière) dans une transmission et reprise d’entreprise artisanale.
Depuis il cherchait lui aussi à s’investir dans un métier passion… Sa rencontre avec Daniel a été sans appel ! Il est devenu évidant pour Nicolas de reprendre Antipode et de continuer à faire vivre le savoir-faire et l’état d’esprit construit années après années pour continuer à fournir aux Mushers les meilleurs traineaux et équipements !

Quant à Marie, avec son entreprise et ses 30 ans d'expérience dans le domaine textile, elle s’occupera de toute la partie textile : Sac à Chien, accessoires, harnais, manteaux pour nos chiens... 

Nicolas and Marie-Pierre took up dog sledding in 2019, and since then their passion for dogs and the sport has remained their top priority. Today they share their daily lives with their six Scandinavian Hounds.
Nicolas, a technician and all-round engineer, has spent part of his career working in various industrial sectors. A keen DIY enthusiast, he began making his own windsurf boards at the age of 15, followed by surfboards, furniture, guitars, kites, speakers, and renovating houses… 
Nicolas then changed careers and supported Marie-Pierre (a costume designer and patternmaker) in the handover and takeover of a craft business.
Since then, he too had been looking to get involved in a passion project… His meeting with Daniel was a game-changer! It became clear to Nicolas that he should take over Antipode and continue to uphold the expertise and ethos built up year after year, to keep providing mushers with the best sleds and equipment!

As for Marie, with her business and 30 years’ experience in the textile sector, she will be taking charge of all the textile aspects: dog bags, accessories, harnesses, coats for our dogs...
